Internship in the Westminster office of Graham Evans MP, Member of Parliament for Weaver Vale. Part-time, although some flexibility is possible.
The placement will involve:
- Sorting incoming post and correspondence
- Data entry
- Drafting responses to constituents on political issues
- Research on issues raised in constituents’ correspondence
Applicant requirements;
- Strong sympathy with Conservative principles
- Politically aware, with a firm grasp of current political issues
- Bright and hardworking
- IT literate (e.g. able to use spreadsheets, set up mail merges, etc.)
- Excellent written communication skills
The placement is envisaged to run until June and is ideal for undergraduate students, studying full-time.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
