Roberta Blackman-Woods, MP for City of Durham, is looking for an intern with specialist knowledge in planning issues to help in her busy Westminster office.
This would be particularly relevant to someone who has undertaken a planning degree or course of study and has some knowledge of the planning system. The successful applicant with have strong written, numeracy, IT and organisational skills and be sympathetic to the Labour Party's aims and beliefs. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for candidates to further enhance their CVs and gain valuable political and office-based experience. The opportunity would suit a recent graduate who is looking to use and build on their planning knowledge.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
