The Transition Institute (TI) is a groundbreaking partnership of organisations coming together to provide the practical support needed by public sector workers taking an entrepreneurial approach to designing the next generation of public services.
The Network and Communications Intern will be a vital part of the first phase of development for the new Institute. Sitting between the research and practice streams of work, it will be the Intern’s role to
- build the network of the TI through social media platforms and events,
- help to develop a communications plan and deliver its outputs,
- help to build media profile and links to trade press
Knowledge/Qualifications
Essential:
- Typically an undergraduate degree
Desirable:
- Experience in a communications / community manager role
Skills/Abilities
Essential:
- Strong communications, (particularly social media) skills
- Interest in local and national government policy
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills (written and spoken)
- Outgoing, friendly and approachable demeanour
- Team player and team approach

The TI is looking to appoint an intern for the period of three months full time, based at our offices in Shoreditch with an option for a further three months.
