Our client is a leading publisher of special interest reports in the UK based in North London. With an exclusive agreement with a number of major print publications, producing supplements and special interest reports with strong editorial content. They have recently entered the conferencing world and already have successfully organised and held a number of prestigious conferences. Publishing content online and in print, they have a truly unique approach that no other conferencing company can offer. Their clients include; O2, Samsung, Siemens, KPMG, Lloyds, BAE systems to name a few.

About the role as a Delegate Sales Manager:

Together with a creative and business manager, you will be responsible for researching an event; make contact with very senior business executives (C-suite) from Europe’s largest companies. Your mission will be to put together a package of training and networking that will suit their business needs. You will have access to the existing contacts of the company as well as organisations you have researched. The key to success is adopting a consultative approach as well as nurturing existing relationships and developing new business.

Our client believes in a structured sales process as opposed to blindly following a sales script. This is not a sales role where you will be expected to make 80-150 calls per day, but rather make 15-20 quality consultative calls.

The ideal candidate, you must possess:

• At least 12 months experience in a delegate sales role
• Commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mind-set, and a can do attitude
• Intelligence, you will have a degree or you will be able to demonstrate that you have the equivalent level of intelligence.
• Solutions orientated and have the ability to offer solutions to CEO’s problems
• Disciplined, structured and focused
• Adaptable and a diligent learner
• Open minded
• Possess confidence and excellent communication skills
• Articulate with superb communication skills in spoken and written English
• Previous experience in media is not a pre-requisite as training will be provided
• Excellent research and lead generation skills
• Interest in current affairs and business
