Social Breakfast is an innovative youth engagement website that was launched at the House of Commons in December 2009. Since its launch, a number of leading decision makers have been interviewed for the site, and the campaigns run by young people have received national press coverage.
Young people are crucial to building the neighbourhoods where we all want to live. However, many young people are currently marginalised from the decision making processes that can bring about true change. This can weaken bonds to family, friends and wider society.
To get involved with our day to day operations, we are asking for young, aspiring political writers to become regular contributors to the Social Breakfast blog. We are looking for a minimum of two entries a month on any issue you want to raise, related to current affairs and social concerns, with a particular focus on Birmingham and the surrounding area.
