Edward Davey MP and Kingston Liberal Democrats are looking for an experienced and highly motivated person to organise and drive political campaigning in Kingston Borough up to 2014, as well as in Kingston and Surbiton constituency up to the next General Election (at least).
This is a full-time post, with a salary in the range of £22,000 to £26,000, depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate will be based in the offices of the MP and local Borough Party in Surbiton.
Key tasks will include (in order of priority) (1) organising local activists for canvassing, door-to-door surveying and deliverer and member recruitment; (2) literature production and distribution; and (3) working with the local team on Connect and our traditional and social media strategy.
Applicants must demonstrate election campaign experience, political judgement and proven ability to organise volunteers of all ages, and have good computer and literature skills.
