Full Fact is looking for our first Communications Officer. You may be a good all-rounder or more likely a quick learner with a proven track record in press relations, online communications or public affairs. You will have lead responsibility for raising our profile among the press, the public and politicians and moving us from ad hoc to structured communications work.
As a campaigning organisation, communicating well is essential to everything we do. You will work closely with our Director and other staff on campaigns, with our editorial team on promoting content and with our Development Manager on supporter communications.
You need a good understanding of the political system and practical politics but you must be willing to commit to our politically neutral ethos and to be transparent about your own political background.
Our “brilliant and comprehensive” “penetrating and sober” “must-read” etc analysis regularly features in the national and specialist press as well as being cited by politicians of all parties and read directly by a substantial online audience of our own. Our reputation has grown fast through our work with the Leveson Inquiry, being invited to give one of the opening seminars and subsequently to give evidence.
