National Citizen Service (NCS) is the Government’s flagship Big Society programme for young people. NCS is an exciting, exigent programme which will provide young people with the opportunity to learn new skills and build their confidence. They will also have a chance to develop their own community action projects to benefit members of their community. The programme focuses on their personal and social development.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of 2 delivery staff (NCS Youth Trainers) and leading and supporting a team of 16 young people to successfully complete the Autumn NCS Programme. You will be required to build relationships in the community from teachers to parents, youth clubs and faith groups. Work with a broad range of local organisations to help young people to complete their social action projects.
Contract type: Fixed Term - August - December 2012.
