Job Details
The New Policy Institute, an independent think tank and consultancy, is seeking to appoint a graduate to a full-time research analyst position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a commitment to research based on high-quality data analysis to influence public policy on matters ranging from poverty to macroeconomics.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a first or upper second class degree in a numerate discipline. As part of this, they will have studied statistical methods. A knowledge of economics is an advantage but not essential.
The candidate should have experience of working with data in packages such as Microsoft Excel to produce charts and graphs. Experience of statistical packages such as SPSS is an advantage but not essential.
Experience of working in this field, though desirable, is not essential. You must, however, share our interest in, and commitment to this work – and be able to convince us of that.
