The Children's Society are seeking an energetic Team Assistant to play an active role in the day to day work of the campaigns and media team, supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of all campaigns and media activity.

From providing office administration to organising campaign events, monitoring media coverage to dealing with press and supporter enquiries, our assistant will support all areas of our work. Highly organised and focused on results, our assistant will provide an efficient support service contributing to positive change for children.

Typical tasks include:

  • Providing efficient administrative and office support, including: organising meetings and events, financial administration, conveying messages, monitoring media coverage and web statistics, keeping communications planning diaries up to date.
  • Producing correspondence, reports and materials for meetings, working groups and presentations.
  • Gathering information and undertaking research to inform and improve the work of the campaigns and media teams.
  • Using initiative to respond effectively to enquiries, queries and requests from journalists, supporters, agencies, stakeholders and colleagues, using telephone, post and email.
