NIESR, one of Britain’s most influential and prestigious independent research institutes, is looking for an intern to work in its employment and social research team. The team have a wide programme of research including: welfare-to-work, labour market disadvantage, employers’ policies and practices, equal opportunities, education and migration. They use both qualitative and quantitative approaches but currently have a number of projects which are primarily qualitative.

The intern will gain research experience by working on projects but will also work on other ad-hoc tasks as required by the team and the Institute. The initial work will entail arranging and conducting telephone interviews, under supervision.
