3 month contract with possibility of renewal.

Three days per week (24 hours) with possibility of more. Days flexible around other commitments.

Intern Aware is looking for a Campaigns and Policy Coordinator to help us campaign for fairer internships. We believe that no-one should be excluded from the opportunities they deserve because they cannot afford to work for free.

The Campaigns and Policy Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Building our grassroots campaign.
  • Engaging an activist base
  • Organising stunts and direct actions
  • Arranging events to get our message out to more people
  • Visiting universities and colleges to talk about the importance of fair internships

The Campaigns and Policy Coordinator will support:

  • Media
  • Writing press releases and building relationships with key journalists
  • Working on a social media strategy to support our lobbying and legal campaigns
  • Keeping our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages vibrant and up to date
  • Lobbying government and stakeholders
  • Writing policy briefings and documents
  • Meeting MPs and ministers
  • Arranging events
  • Meeting stakeholders to persuade them of our case

As this job is part-time we will be happy to discuss how the time commitment is spread over the week.

We want to recruit the best possible person for the role and so are willing to to pay some amount of salary up front to help with relocation costs, if they are incurred.
