Constituency work experience placements

Simon Hughes MP is currently looking to offer several enthusiastic and committed individuals work experience in his constituency office.

Simon always aims to offer work experience to people from diverse backgrounds with flexible working hours in order to accommodate people in the widest variety of situations, such as those currently unemployed, part-time workers, and students. Ideally work experience placements are offered on a 3 month basis, but with the possibility of an extension.

As part of his work in the constituency, Simon is particularly keen to help local residents gain the skills they need to access employment opportunities so applications from constituents are  particularly welcomed.

The role will involve assisting with casework, advice surgeries and meetings and other general administration. This is a great opportunity for candidates to gain valuable experience in a busy constituency office.

Applicants must possess excellent written skills, good organisational and interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a willingness to complete tasks quickly and to a high standard.
