We have a range of clients including the Jamie Oliver Foundation, NHBC, Santander and Blackwell’s and your role will be to work across these clients on both their PR and Public Affairs accounts.

The role:

The Media, Public Affairs and PR Intern would support the team across all areas of our work. Duties could include:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of influencing activities at a regional, national and UK wide level
  • Social media and website monitoring
  • Assisting in organising events and meetings with politicians/ journalists and clients
  • Assisting with briefing papers suitable for use amongst MPs and peers and clients
  • Monitoring the media and parliamentary business for clients
  • Providing summaries and analysis of external policy/research publications and speeches eg Government statistics; reports from political parties; other organisations
  • Researching and providing updates on key policy developments using a range of sources
  • Supporting research design, implementation and analysis on a range of different issues
  • Providing some administrative support for the team

Person Specification

  • Enthusiastic and motivated individual with a desire to learn and to contribute to the work of iNHouse
  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in public affairs and the media
  • Competent social media skills
  • Ability to gather and interpret data from different sources, including research and policy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Clear, concise and accurate writing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to pick up new things quickly and be flexible
