Job Details

NUS is an exciting and interesting organisation. We exist to improve the lives of students and to develop and champion strong students’ unions. We are the voice of 7million UK students.

NUS Services is the commercial arm of the organisation, representing the commercial interests of Students’ Unions across the country. We operate a purchasing consortium with an annual turnover of £120 million and provide unique and innovative marketing solutions for many famous brands in the UK.

We are looking for a communications producer to join our team at the NUS Group, based at our NUS Services offices in Macclesfield.

The position will work with internal departments to provide communications support for the delivery of a wide range of projects and campaigns, and to increase engagement with our many stakeholder audiences.

The position will also be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content for all of our channels to support the implementation of the NUS Group communications strategy. This includes our group websites, our membership magazine Spotlight, emails and social media.

The ideal candidate for the role will have strong writing skills and a flair for producing content for multiple platforms, including print, digital and social media.

NUS Services is responsible for resourcing the student movement, and delivers much of the Group’s infrastructure and commercial activity, including NUS Digital, NUS Extra, research and a purchasing consortium for the student movement. This role will have a focus on increasing engagement in these areas, so any commercial communications experience will be an advantage.

The NUS Group is a democratic membership organisation that is driven by its membership base of hundreds of students’ unions across the UK. The successful applicant will share our core values and relish the opportunity to work in a fast-paced democratic environment.
