Job Details
The Business Development Executive's mission is to move forward the company's successful record in attracting blue chip sponsors and exhibitors for our policy seminars and bespoke events, and to help maintain the strong relationships that are built up.
We are looking for a highly organised and creative individual with an enquiring mind, able to undertake efficient, insightful research into companies and sectors. Strong time management and the ability to multi-task are essential, and it would be helpful to have an understanding of current affairs and the world of business. Experience of working in a competitive commercial environment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will need to be a fast learner and a confident user of email, spreadsheets and databases. They should be able to create, adapt and work with CRM and other tracking systems for contacts and tasks. The Business Development Executive needs to manage the flow of leads generated throughout the company, add new ideas, prepare proposals, liaise with potential customers and manage existing relationships. Successful applicants will need to be a good communicator, and able to effectively discuss opportunities on the phone or in person with prospective sponsors.
Westminster Forum Projects is a market leader in organising senior-level seminars on public policy in media, telecoms, education, nutrition, health, energy, transport, the environment and other areas. It enjoys considerable support from within Parliament and government, in industry and amongst interest groups. The Forum is impartial and cross-party, and has no policy agenda of its own. Sponsors do not exercise control of agendas so ours is a specialised and challenging market, but one where we are achieving good results. This job is about helping grow that success.
Working for this expanding organisation, you will be based in a lively, friendly office in Bracknell, Berkshire, with occasional work in Westminster. The company is focused on career development within a rewarding work environment.
