We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about policy, influencing and lobbying. They will be motivated by change, systematically working through evidence to understand what people think, and coming up with strategies to do something about it.
Working with staff at all levels within two universities, at all levels within two unions, leading a team of three and supporting elected officers to present evidenced-based, relevant, consistent policy positions will be fun, stretching and a life changing opportunity.
Your written English will be of particularly high standard, and you will have the ability to write high quality content, quickly, for different audiences. You can present complex topics to a diverse audience, digesting and prioritising a tsunami of information to position the organisation as relevant, legitimate and authoritative.
You will be leading and managing your own team of three who need to understand what our members think and why. Your team run all of the processes and development associated with course representation, and you will support elected officers to have the highest political impact within the university.
