SCL Elections is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Senior Consultant (Research & Logistics).

SCL Elections is an election management agency that operates all over the world. Our clients include heads of state and government as well as senior and managerial civil servants and political party activists who turn to us for our expertise and history of success in winning elections. This is an opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a unique organisation working at the intersection of social science, behavioural psychology, psephology, communications and development. The candidate will have the following credentials: under no circumstances will candidates be considered if these requirements are not met, backed with demonstrable and credible past experience and excellent references.

1. Proven quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills (including the use of SPSS/STATA/Excel) applied in a social science context

2. Proven ability to run cross-tabulations and turn tables into graphs

3. Confidence in manipulating large quantities of data and extracting salient findings

4. Ability to manage highly-skilled academics with multiple specialisms, coordinating their individual skills and research programmes and synthesising their output

5. Proven experience in the field managing large research projects, ideally surveys covering thousands of respondents and large teams of locally employed researchers

6. Extensive travel experience and ability to work in developing nations

7. Experience drafting and managing budgets of £50-100k and above

8. A post-graduate degree or equivalent professional experience

9. Ideally two or more languages

10. Excellent sense of humour and calmness under pressure.

For this reason, experience of working with, presenting to and advising senior politicians and/or executives would strengthen your application.
