Location: Based in our office at the Young Foundation in Bethnal Green.
Working hours: This is a full-time position. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Time-frame: This is a temporary role for a period of three months.
Duties and purpose of the role: The intern will support all aspects of the day-to-day running of Dot Dot Dot while gaining experience of working within a fast-growing social enterprise.

Duties will include a range of the following tasks:
• Assisting with handling applications from potential property guardians and organising the regular workshops we hold to assess our applicants.
• Assisting with organising flat viewings for new guardians.
• Contributing to helping the guardians to find appropriate voluntary roles.
• Liaising with third sector organisations to allow our guardians to make the greatest possible impact through their volunteering.
• Supporting us in initiating local volunteering projects in the areas where we manage properties.
• Gathering information from our property guardians on their volunteering achievements, and assisting in drawing this information together into regular reports.
• Assisting with the development of our model for supporting volunteering and for making a meaningful contribution to the communities where we work.
• Administrative tasks – filing, maintaining spreadsheets, getting keys cut, running errands etc.

Essential requirements:
• Proven commitment to creating a positive social impact through paid and/or voluntary work;
• Well-organised and proactive with excellent attention to detail;
• Strong people skills – adept at working with a wide range of people;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and to work effectively within a team;
• Practical – willing to get stuck in with the day-to-day tasks involved in running a business;
• Creative – able to contribute ideas to shaping and growing this social enterprise, and developing our model to create social impact;
• And IT competence.
