The Whitehall & Industry Group (WIG) is an independent, not-for-profit and non-lobbying corporate membership organisation that builds better understanding and co-operation between business, government and the not-for-profit sectors. We do this in the following three areas:
- Events and networks - to explore latest policy and share best practice, both from the public, private and voluntary sectors
- People Exchange - mentoring, secondments, non-exec appointments and charity trustee roles
- Leadership Programmes – for Graduates/Fast Streamers, high potential managers or senior directors
WIG is seeking an Events Co-ordinator to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of WIG events and the development seminar programme. S/he will report into the Head of Events and will have additional responsibility for supporting the Head of Executive Development in delivering WIG’s one day course/seminar programme.
Note: attendance at evening and early morning events is required for this role.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills, qualities and experience:
- Previous event experience is essential
- Ability to understand content of events, e.g. present and future government policy trends, especially where they impact WIG’s membership is essential
- Ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure and to run a number of different projects simultaneously
