The Organisation

Defence IQ (a division of IQPC) provides both military officials and business executives around the world with tailored practical conferences, large-scale events and topical seminars, keeping them up-to-date with industry trends, technological developments and defence programme updates.

The Role

Both Military and Vendor delegates are pivotal to the onsite success of an event and service delivery to our conference sponsors. In order to be able to strengthen and grow our events we need to increase the level of rebooks from satisfied customers and sponsors, and in order to satisfy them we must deliver on the service we offer; to help them meet and influence their hard-to-reach prospects in a positive environment.

You will be proactively selling our market leading product and portfolio to existing and potential customers within both the Military and Vendor communities. You will be using professional sales tools and techniques in order to diagnose and understand client needs, and match those with our products.

Responsibilities

Research, find and identifying C-level and business directors, military leaders, budget holders and programme directors based on the profile criteria set.
Attract, engage and sell to prospective delegates through various methods including phone calls, research, networking and social media.
Identify the needs of the prospect and influence decisions within the whole 'decision making’ unit based on added value.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be/have:
·A graduate with not less than a 2.1 degree
·A minimum of 1 year within a corporate environment
·Confident and articulate in engaging at director level
·Experience within Aviation/Defence/Military/Aerospace industry will be highly advantageous
