Part-time (3 days per week), fixed term to the end of October 2013.

Grayling Wales, the longest standing public affairs agency in Wales, is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join our growing public affairs team in Cardiff Bay. This is a fixed term, part-time position running until 31st October 2013 to assist the existing team with monitoring and administration during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

• Political and media monitoring, to inform the political engagement of Grayling’s diverse client base
• Research
• Helping to organise client events
• Drafting briefing materials
• Office administration

Skills & Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of public affairs, research or monitoring would be advantageous but not essential.
• This role would particularly suit a recent university graduate, or a current postgraduate or PhD student, keen to gain experience in public affairs.
• Strong IT skills
• Relevant degree

• Fast learner
• Sound understanding of politics and political processes in Wales.
• Able to complete high quality written work within deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent time management
