Full-time (Monday - Friday), initial contract period of 6 months.
Localis is an independent think tank dedicated to promoting localism and developing ideas for local public service reform. Interns are an invaluable part of our organisation and work across all areas undertaking a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Specific tasks for the Communications and Events Intern would include:
- Helping to organise round tables, seminars, speaker events and support for Localis’ party conference programme
- Support for our external communications, including those to stakeholders and the media
- Research, including production of media/coverage reports
- Assisting with new business development, including compiling briefings on individuals and organisations
- Ad hoc duties, including administration
Skills required:
- Graduate
- Interest in current affairs, politics and the media
- Good communication and research skills
- Good time and project management
- Reliability
- Cheerful disposition
