Job Details

Capacity Building
• To liaise and develop effective communication with Liberal Democrat Councillors and campaigners across Camden Borough and Hampstead & Kilburn Parliamentary constituency, and the Hampstead & Kilburn PPC; to disseminate information about campaigning events to campaigners and to work with campaigners to pro-actively increase attendance at said events
• Work with ward teams to organise Action Days and regular evening activity sessions
• Work with ward teams to organise recruitment sessions and voter-contact activities
• Work with the Camden Liberal Democrats Events Committee, and members in the Hampstead & Kilburn Brent wards, on events to recruit and retain members and activists
• Supervising the clerical volunteer team and working with ward teams to identify new clerical volunteers
• Helping ward teams with organisational, campaigning, and literature support
• Organise training for local activists, drawing on central resources where possible
• Liaise with other Liberal Democrat local parties on joint activities of benefit to Camden and Brent Liberal Democrats
• Support the Hampstead & Kilburn PPC with fund raising from major donors

Message delivery
• Work with PPC, Council Groups and central party to agree key messages for local and national campaigns (literature, e-campaigns, press)
• To ensure regular contact between the local media and PPC/Camden Liberal Democrat Council Group
• Manage constituency wide e-campaigns
• To work closely with Camden and Brent Liberal Democrats’ Campaigns Committees to oversee the formulation, updating and delivery of an integrated campaign plan for the Camden Borough Elections in 2014 and the General Election in 2015
• Oversee the production and printing of literature in accordance with the campaign plan

Administration
• To assist with the management of our Voter ID database (Connect)
• To advise the line manager, as appropriate, on organisational and maintenance priorities which may benefit the smooth running of the local party offices
• To undertake such training as is recommended and provided through the management in order to develop and update required skills
• To undertake such other duties as the line manager may require to further effective communication, campaigning and organisation
