Job Details

The Cafédirect Producers’ Foundation (CPF) is a young, ambitious charity (www.producersfoundation.org). We were set up by social enterprise Cafédirect and work with 280,000 farmers worldwide to develop innovative solutions to the daily challenges they face. For example, projects like the recently award winning WeFarm (www.wefarm.info).

In our programmes across Africa and Latin America, we aim to be innovative, entrepreneurial and participatory in everything we do. Our challenge is how to transfer this approach to our fundraising – which is where you come in.

You could be a postgraduate student with a creative or entrepreneurial background, or an experienced designer/digital marketer looking to try something different.

The role: You will work with our small team to research, generate ideas and help us deliver the best ones. The position is at least 3 days per week for 3 months in our Shoreditch office, with potential for extension.

Specific tasks may include:
• Evaluating, developing and realising opportunities to raise funds using online media.
• Identifying and tapping into creative networks and people who could help us to raise funds in new and innovative ways.
• Hosting an ideas competition, event or even a hackathon.
• Creating exciting resources to support fundraising.
• Researching business models and for-profit subsidiary options to raise funds.

We’re looking for someone who is…
• Creative, innovative and full of ideas – can you come up with the next Kiva, Million Dollar Pixel Homepage or One Red Paperclip?
• Entrepreneurial, with a can-do approach and willingness to take initiative.
• Confident and enthusiastic about using online and social media #TwitterAddict.
• Happy to turn your hand to less exciting admin tasks if needs be.
• Willing to try things, fail fast and learn.

What we can offer:
• London Living Wage (£8.55 per hour), based on 3 days per week over 3 months with potential for longer-term extension.
• Flexibility on timings and days worked.
• Hands on experience and responsibility from day one – no more making cups of tea or photocopying than any other CPF team member.
• The opportunity to make a real impact in a small but ambitious organisation.
• As much coffee as you can drink!

Closing Date: 1 August 2013
