The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Local Organiser to work with our parliamentary candidate in Stevenage and the local party to lead campaigning activity across the constituency. This role is a fixed-term contract until June 2015.

The successful candidate will oversee all local campaigning activity across the constituency working with local activists and councillors, and the Stevenage parliamentary candidate in promoting the Labour Party. You will organise campaigning activity; assist, where necessary, with local fundraising schemes, develop campaign messages; organise local policy forums; and undertake training and membership recruitment activities.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of campaigning, including experience in working on political campaigns, preferably in a similar role. You will also require an understanding of Labour Party structures, experience working with and managing volunteers and a strong commitment to the Labour Party and its values.
