Job Details

Celebrating its seventh birthday this year, OxFizz is an award-winning and pioneering not-for-profit social enterprise which donated £180,000 to charity in 2013.We are looking for a high potential candidate to be our Recruitment & Training Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of our executive team.

OxFizz engages recent graduates through our unique model, where they volunteer their time and skills to provide our educational services to support young people. We charge those who can afford it, and all our profits go to charities chosen by our volunteers, as well as our bursary programme which supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds for free.

The R&T role is crucial to the wider impact of OxFizz, in being the key connection point between OxFizz and our volunteers, and by offering an opportunity for volunteers to engage with our unique model of philanthropy and volunteering. We currently have around 250 volunteers, and envisage this number growing. The R&T Coordinator will oversee relationships with our volunteers, come up with ideas on methods of recruiting new volunteers, as well as continuing to utilise successful past methods, and play a leading role in the development and running of our current training programmes. He/she will also develop the online resources we have for our volunteers, and promote these to the volunteers. He/she will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Coordinator in order to manage the supply of interviewers and tutors to meet the demand from customers, and with the Events Coordinator by supporting the administration and running of event days. He/she will also have a pastoral role to play, supporting and looking after the welfare of our volunteers, and building close relationships. The position will entail contributing to wider OxFizz strategy, through analysis of the strength of the social enterprise.

As a term of your employment you may be required to undertake such other duties and/or hours of work as may reasonably be required, and the post holder will be required to work weekends during the interview and summer school season (with time off during the week in lieu).

Closing Date: 2 May 2014

Interview/Start Dates

Our ideal start date is August 2014.
