We are Conciliation Resources, an independent organisation that provides practical support to people affected by violence to promote mediation, people-to-people dialogues and other ways of resolving conflict peacefully. We also draw on our shared experiences to influence government policies and improve the effectiveness of peacebuilding practice worldwide.

We are looking for a talented and strategic fundraiser and communicator to join the organisation’s senior management team and lead our Fundraising and Communications Department into a new period of development, change and growth.

The Director will be one of four Heads of Departments and a member of the Executive Management Committee, which collectively has responsibility for the leadership, management and development of Conciliation Resources.

You will lead two high-performing teams whose work is prolific, global and constantly adapting. You will be be responsible for the development and delivery of our strategies for fundraising and communications at a critical time of targeted growth. Our main funders are governments and multilaterals (including the EU), trusts and foundations – and we enjoy close working relations with them. You will primarily focus on Fundraising secondly to Communications. We aim to raise the profile of our work and influence international policies and practice.
