About NACUE

The National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) works to develop an enterprising and entrepreneurial young generation. It does so by supporting the sustainable development of student-led enterprise clubs and societies in colleges and universities across the UK. Launched in 2009, NACUE now supports a network of over 200 societies at Universities and FE Colleges.

NACUE also represents the views of enterprising students to policy makers at all levels of government, industry and education through a range of advocacy efforts, campaigns and research. It plays an active role in policy networks including Enterprise Alliance UK and the National Youth Enterprise Working Group.

The Role

NACUE is looking for a policy volunteer with an interest in student entrepreneurship across the Higher and Further Education sectors to join our Policy and Campaigns team on a fixed term contract.

This internship would be suited to an all rounder with an interest in policy within a charity. The ideal candidate will have a social sciences degree with a good understanding of party politics in the UK. In particular, we are looking for someone who can help to support the planning and delivery of our Party Conferences programme, although day to day tasks will be varied and therefore strong administrative and research skills would be beneficial.

Main Responsibilities will include:

Research and analysis
Supporting the planning and delivery of our Party Conferences programme
Administration
Event support
Providing support to the Head of Campaigns and Policy, particularly in producing policy proposals and engaging external audiences

The Applicant

Must be working towards or have gained a degree in social sciences – a politics degree would be advantageous.
