Our client, a leading UK charity supporting disabled people, is recruiting a Senior External Communications Officer.

Working within a specialist team of press officers in a large busy corporate affairs department, you will promote and publicise the charity and its activities through the media, and will protect its reputation by developing and managing communications around sensitive issues. The role will include leading on specific PR projects and campaigns, building relationships with the media and identifying and producing strong case study material to support all communications. Additional responsibilities will include line management, corporate partnership PR and celebrity liaison. Whether it’s promoting the charity’s 15 minute care campaign, its work in Africa, its activities to support disabled students get into work or publicising its national and regional fundraising events, you will be working in an environment that is rich in issues at a time when the organisation is increasingly raising its public profile.

The charity is seeking an experienced confident communications professional with a proven track record in media and PR, to join this busy, friendly team based at its head office in Vauxhall, South West London.
