Job Details

Conciliation Resources is an independent organisation working with people in conflict to prevent violence and build peace. We support people at the heart of conflicts who are striving to find solutions. We work with them to deepen our collective understanding of the conflict, bring together divided communities and create opportunities for them to resolve their differences peacefully. In addition, we take what we learn to government decision-makers and others working to end conflict, to improve peacebuilding policies and practice worldwide.

Admin Volunteer

Voluntary position, based at our office in Tufnell Park.

Our Operations Officer is looking for a pro-active and computer literate person to volunteer at our office 3 days each week on an ongoing basis. You will be given plenty of help and guidance on a busy NGO office environment within a friendly and committed team of staff and volunteers at our new offices in NW5, not far from Tufnell Park Station.

As Admin Volunteer you will have a mix of challenging responsibility, such as making recommendations as part of developing the organisational capacity of Conciliation Resources, and also gain experience of the routine tasks of the running of our busy office.

This voluntary position will offer someone who is very organised, methodical and can use their initiative the chance to develop their administrative and information management skills and gain experience in a NGO office environment.

Previous fundraising volunteer David Cruchley says:
"The tasks and challenges put before me as Fundraising Volunteer were varied and engaging, and the support excellent. I have been able to gain valuable experience of a professional setting, in a conflict resolution NGO, working on tasks that had a clearly outlined purpose and impact, ensuring that I felt at all times that I was a valued member of the team."
