Job Details

Join Catch22 as a Market Analyst and Researcher and you could soon be taking the lead in research and analysis projects regarding local authority, voluntary funding, social investment scanning and mapping, competitor analysis and market research.

A forward-looking social business, Catch22 has over two hundred years’ experience of providing services that help people in tough situations to turn their lives around. Our programmes help those we work with to steer clear of crime or substance misuse, do the best they can in school or college and develop skills for work, live independently on leaving care or custody, gain new skills and confidence as parents, and play a full part in their community.

As a Market Analyst and Researcher you will:

  • Identify key customers needs and local problems, draft briefs and make recommendations for research practice
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative information relating to key research areas
  • Manage the response to Government consultations
  • Carry out ad hoc bid and tender research, competitor identification, local information gathering and contribute to the writing of tenders and bids
  • Prepare specific ‘think pieces’ on topics that are relevant to the work of the organisation.

With degree level education or a research related vocational qualification, and some knowledge of different geographic conditions at work within the local government infrastructure, as Market Analyst and Researcher you will need:

  • Experience of leading and managing research projects, including briefing and executing multiple strand/partner projects at scale (£50k+) using varying research methods
  • A proven ability to prepare issue papers and ‘think pieces’ to a high standard
  • Good knowledge of statutory and other funding mechanisms, the external funding environment and the commercial issues within contract based service delivery organisations
  • An understanding of the use of research within a commercial environment, as well as for product development or income generation purposes
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and a passion for achieving positive outcomes for young people and vulnerable adults.

If you’ve got all of the above, plus good office IT skills, particularly in Excel and other performance management software, you could be just the person we need.
