Grayling Wales, the longest standing public affairs agency in Wales, is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join our growing public affairs team in Cardiff Bay. This is a fixed term, part-time position for three months to assist the existing team with monitoring and administration during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

  • Political and media monitoring, to inform the political engagement of Grayling’s diverse client base
  • Research
  • Helping to organise client events
  • Drafting briefing materials
  • Office administration

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent verbal, written and analytical communication skills
  • Experience of public affairs, research or monitoring would be advantageous but not essential. This role would particularly suit a recent university graduate, or a current postgraduate or PhD student, keen to gain experience in public affairs
  • Strong IT skills
  • Relevant degree

Personal Qualities

  • Fast learner
  • Sound understanding of politics and political processes in Wales
  • Able to complete high quality written work within deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent time management
