Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension).

We are currently looking to recruit an Intern for the South Caucasus programme’s Economy and Conflict (E&C) strand of work. The work of this strand is directed towards improving understanding on the inter-linkages between economy, conflict and peace in the South Caucasus. Under this strand, we conduct and combine innovative regional economy and conflict/peace research with tangible economic initiatives to promote regional economic cooperation as a peacebuilding strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support towards difference aspects of implementation and administration of E&C strand of work in close cooperation with the Senior Projects Manager and Project Coordinator.

You will be highly motivated and with ambition to work in the peacebuilding sector, demonstrate a talent for working with people and have previous logistical and/or administrative experience.

With a degree in a subject related to peacebuilding and/or development studies, you will be interested in gaining experience and knowledge pertinent to peacebuilding work as well as a deeper understanding of the economic dimensions in peacebuilding and the different conflict contexts in the South Caucasus.

A working knowledge of Russian language – ability to read, write and conserve in Russian – is essential for this position.
