ResPublica is co-ordinating a range of new projects that will feed into the organisation’s wider public service reform activity, and is looking for a senior professional to manage our dynamic programme. Our activity will explore the integration and reform of the UK’s public services, and the consequences of such for local economic growth and social revival. If you were excited by the Localism Act, but disappointed by it in practice; keen to explore the opportunity of total and ‘whole-place’ budgets; and concerned that our public services are not at present driven by social and educative outcomes; and if you have significant experience and expertise in local government, place based economies and public services, we would like to meet you.

We are open to either a 6 month consultancy appointment or a full time position, either based in London or elsewhere. We are looking for someone who is very good at public policy and analysis, writing and ideas. You will have to know the field but not necessarily be in it, and must be passionate about what is needed and innovative about how to get there. You will have a strong, interesting and varied background; you may be an academic or a professional in some field of public policy: either way, we would like to hear from you.
