Key responsibilities:
Respond effectively to routine correspondence and enquiries from constituents. Undertake research, usually from readily available sources, on straightforward subjects regarding national politics. Take responsibility for a certain amount of constituency casework through liaison with local and national bodies, government agencies etc.
Ideal candidate:
Graduate with a good academic record. Good attention to detail, spelling and grammar with a high level of accuracy. Good communication skills both written and spoken.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.

First round interviews will be held week beginning 11 July 2014. Contract to start in September 2014 or earlier (by mutual agreement).
