Job Details
About: This is a unique role in a unique campaign. Set up last year by 24 leading organisations in the field of social change and smart economics, the Social Economy Alliance has snowballed and now has more than 450 members. We’re part of a growing, global movement for making economic and social policies work together so that economies work for society – not the other way around.
As our Campaign Manager you will take us through the final and most exciting leg of our campaign. We aim to make a big noise on the way into the General Election, kicking off with a high-impact advertising campaign this September. Your role will be to develop and enhance our political relationships, working with our small but very talented team at London Bridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity. You’ll work alongside experienced campaigners, policy wonks and media people, and CEOs of some of the best organisations in the social economy. You will develop a great contacts book, in a challenging-but-fun atmosphere. You must be great at stakeholder relations and a fantastic project manager.
What are we looking for? The Alliance needs someone with a strong background in political affairs. You need to know your way around the main political parties and parliamentary processes, and be adept at finding the right moments to get our message across and win the support of individual politicians. We need someone full of ideas and always on the lookout for ways we can take our campaign to new heights. You must be hungry for social change and ready to seize any opportunity that will help us achieve our ambition to create a more social economy in the UK.
Closing Date: 1 August 2014
Interview/Start Dates
Interviews will be held at our London Bridge headquarters on 11 August. Start-date should be max a month from being offered the role. We would prefer an earlier start, but will negotiate for a great candidate.
