The ideal candidate will be an energetic, motivated self-starter with the ability to deliver proactive customer service within a multicultural, multi-national global organisation. The ability to work well independently, with initiative and to be able to juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities is required. Strong administrative skills with a keen eye for detail are essential. Experience in administration and/or financial accounting is preferable, though not essential. Strong written communication skills are required as s/he will be responsible for member-related communications, including a regular member newsletter, promotional materials, reports and other member-related documents. Prior experience in international relations, stakeholder engagement, membership, non-profit and/or international organisations is desirable. A second language, preferably French, is useful although not required.
General responsibilities include:
• Communications and stakeholder engagement: national member committees, Future Energy Leaders and WEC’s women’s network
• Administrative support to Member Services team and specific WEC communities (eg. national member committees and future energy leader)
• Writing and editing member related communications or newsletters
• Monitoring and updating the WEC website, including the online events list
• Preparing and updating the WEC Member Directory
• Database updates and management
• Assistance with event planning and event-related communications
• Invitation tracking and follow up
• Calculating annual membership subscriptions, preparing invoices, monitoring and recording payments
• Project support on WEC content projects
