The Volunteering Co-ordinator will play a key role in developing the programme of support for Viridian volunteers and establishing essential volunteer management systems. This role will be working closely with the Volunteering Manager and other colleagues within the Social Impact team. It will offer an exciting opportunity to really help our volunteers make a difference for themselves and their local communities.

As Volunteer Coordinator you will:

Manage Viridian volunteers and help ensure that all volunteers receive high quality support and training in order for them to undertake their tasks safely and efficiently and that their development needs are adequately met through volunteering
Establish and manage administrative procedures and systems related to volunteer management and safeguarding
Coordinate a programme of volunteer related events and activities to promote volunteering and celebrate their contribution to the community
Support the volunteer recruitment and induction, and help develop new resources to attract/retain volunteers
Develop and maintain a volunteer database and collate relevant data for reporting
Help manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of volunteer expenses
Support the day-to-day coordination and rota management for volunteers
Work closely with the Volunteering Manager and assist in delivering shared objectives around volunteering
