Full description:
Managing a team of four, as Interim Head of Policy & Campaigns you will lead the charity's evidence gathering, policy and influencing activities. You will also make sure that the organisation has an expert position on various issues and is delivering strategic campaigns which can influence and improve cancer services.

You will advise on external developments and how the organisation should respond, as well as represent the charity at external events. A key part of your role will be to work with other senior managers to make sure policy and campaigns activities are effectively monitored and reported, and that they complement other aspects of the charity’s strategic aims.

The successful candidate will be an experienced manager who can lead integrated policy and influencing activities in a dynamic charity environment. An ability to understand how these activities can contribute to achieving a charity’s strategic aims, and know how best to work with senior managers in other departments to achieve shared goals, will be essential.

Finally it will be essential that you can effectively manage budgets, projects and competing priorities and you are able to lead and develop your teams to help them achieve the best for the people the charity helps.
