A full service communications programme or campaign could typically include a strategic mix of the following: 

  • Local and national political intelligence and lobbying
  • Stakeholder profiling and engagement
  • Community consultation
  • Campaigning
  • Media relations advice and management

GL Hearn is now looking to hire an Account Executive for its highly accomplished team.

As the Account Executive you will work on a wide range of diverse projects across the property and built environment. This will be a challenging role within a small team that is growing considerably now and in the future.

On a daily basis you will be working with a diverse range of stakeholders across political, local government, business and the built environment. You will be helping in all aspects of projects from media relations to event management and from public affairs to project management to ensure that clients’ objectives are met and expectations are exceeded. By getting involved in all aspects of the projects, the successful candidate will develop a superb set of skills over time.

GL Hearn is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following skills, experience and personality traits:

  • Knowledge of, and interest in, politics and political systems. Preferably with an active interest.
  • Excellent writing skills demonstrating audience awareness and an ability to be persuasive.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy across all areas of work.
  • Effective verbal communications when engaging with a wide range of audiences.
  • Confidence to use initiative and personal judgement.
  • A questioning and problem-solving mind.
  • Strong organisational skills and effective time management.
  • Ability to work within a deadline driven environment.
  • An ambitious personality with drive and an energetic approach to work.

GL Hearn is looking for a candidate who is of graduate calibre, with a good relevant degree.

Please note this is a public affairs role, however it is not focused on Westminster Politics. Instead it focuses on a wider range of stakeholders across politics, local government, public sector, business and local communities.
