Established in 1996, Body & Soul is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children, teens and families in the UK who are affected by HIV, through supporting their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being. It’s a vital lifeline for an isolated and often forgotten group of people who are struggling to live with the direct and indirect effects of the virus.

Body & Soul has developed a unique range of internships that offer graduates an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a frontline charity. The internships we offer on our internship programme are as follows:

• Front Line Adult Services Internship
• Front Line Young Adult Services Internships
• Front Line Youth Services Internships
• Front Line BaSe (10-12yr olds) Services Internships
• Front Line Children’s (0-9yr olds) Services Internships
• Case Work Support Internship
• Legal Clinic Support Internship
• Fundraising & Partnership Internship
• Volunteer Management Internship

These internships give you the chance to work in an experienced multi-disciplinary team delivering what is regarded as a unique and exceptional service in an environment where you can build up knowledge, skills and confidence. The role is designed to provide active learning in areas of group/individual support work, programme research and design, workshop facilitation on a broad range of issues, project management and much more….

We are looking for interns who…
Are committed and enthusiastic with a relevant related area of study.
Are looking to gain work experience in the field of HIV/advocacy/support work.
Are willing to take on responsibility in this innovative charity.
Are passionate about Body & Soul’s aims

The internships are 3 days a week and can vary in length from 3 -6 months. Please only apply if you can commit to 3 days a week for at least 3 months.

We will be holding interviews week commencing 4th of August. Internship start dates vary between mid August start date to end of September for each individual internship. Please mention in your cover letter which internship you are interesting in and we can inform you of exact start dates.
