The UK Chamber of Shipping is the trade association and voice for the UK shipping industry, with around 140 members from across the maritime sector. We work with Government, Parliament, international organisations and others to champion and protect the UK shipping industry on behalf of our members. The Chamber provides the home of the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) and its staffing and administrative arrangements.

This role will involve co-ordinating the MNTB training and careers activity; providing administrative support to grant funding applications; the development, publication and sales of training materials; and actively marketing the ‘careers at sea’ brand and Merchant Navy career opportunities.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have experience of the shipping industry and the Merchant Navy at trainee/junior level. Excellent writing and oral communications skills and experience of managing administrative systems and processes are essential.

You will be well organised and flexible, with the ability to interact well at all levels and work as part of a small and dynamic team.
