Future Foreign Policy (www.futureforeignpolicy.com) is a rapidly growing and internationally recognised think tank for young people to voice their ideas on international affairs. We work with some of the world's biggest NGOs, IGOs, Charities, Think Tanks and Governments to bring young people's voices to the centre stage on key international debates. By communicating, contributing and cooperating with a variety of political decision makers and professionals in the field, young people can shape the world they live in, become mobilised around key international issues, and fight for the policies and campaigns they believe in.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for voluntary contributors and editors to join us to contribute regular articles, research, direct journalist reports, and a range of multimedia, social media and blogs to give students and alumni a voice in international affairs and help you to gain the experience needed to break into the Foreign Policy field.

So if you are a student or alumni who is interested in writing articles, preparing research and direct reports around the following topics then we would like to hear from you:

  • Africa
  • Americas
  • Asia
  • Environment and Energy
  • Europe
  • International Development
  • International Law
  • International Security
  • Middle East and North Africa
  • Russia and Eurasia

Requirements

  • Either a UK University graduate with less than 7 years of professional experience or an undergraduate who is currently in their second or final year of study.
  • A demonstrable interest in international affairs and a solid understanding of key global issues and debates within your chosen topic area.
  • A passion, energy and time commitment to help Future Foreign Policy grow and take on reasonable additional responsibilities if necessary.
  • An understanding and energy to get involved in social media outreach and time slot debates on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn.

The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
