Mary Macleod is looking for a hardworking and committed Caseworker to join her busy Westminster office.

The successful applicant will:

  • Attend surgeries and other meetings to assist the Member in dealing with constituents' issues
  • Provide help, advice and support to constituents over the telephone and in writing on standard queries
  • Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases
  • Log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken and understand data protection requirements and protocol relating to MPs' casework
  • Analyse patterns of enquiries and produce reports

Additional information:

The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and have excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be able to work under your own initiative as well as being a team player. A high standard of IT skills is also essential. You will be able to juggle competing priorities and complete work quickly to a high standard, often under pressure as this is a very busy office. It is important that candidate shares the values of the Conservative Party.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
