Dods is the first name in political information and communication in the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a busy EU sales team based in our London office.

The main purpose of the role is to drive sales of our EU Information services. This is an entry level sales executive role focused on introducing new clients to Dods services via phone and online presentations and to book face to face meetings. Clients include corporates, trade associations and charities. Reporting to the EU Information Senior Business Development Manager, you will have a number of key responsibilities outlined below:

• To establish new business opportunities;
• To book meetings for Business Development Managers;
• To proactively use social media and other sources to generate leads;
• To sell our EU contact and reference database and our EU policy monitoring service;
• To meet and regularly exceed key performance indicators (including phone times, online demos, meetings booked, lead generation, proposals, etc) as set by the line manager.

The ideal candidate should have the following key attributes:
• An interest in and knowledge of the work of EU institutions and or the EU public affairs marketplace;
• Command of English to mother tongue standard or equivalent is essential for this role;
• And a good command of two or more European languages is highly desirable;
• Good listening skills and the ability to empathise with clients;
• The ability to present and explain technical applications to laymen;
• Collegiate spirit that encourages cooperation with others;
• A good understanding of databases, web and social media analytics;
• A confident communicator that is able to network and build commercial relationships externally;
• Strong presentation and closing skills;
• Good telephone manner;
• Works well under pressure;
• Willingness to learn.

Work experience:
Has worked for or interned with a politician, EU institution or member state government, or in a policy or campaigning role in a political party or third sector organisation or
Has sales experience in the web/data/information sector.
