To drive overall trust in the brand through effective execution of all areas of the communications strategy, which includes: delivering a local stakeholder engagement programme, managing media relations within the region whilst working side-by-side with franchisees and restaurants.

Principle responsibilities:

  • Leads and implements regional communications plan in partnership with regional agencies and internal customers
  • Facilitates and supports retail leaders stakeholder engagement and community programmes eg. MP visits, business group engagement, environmental projects etc
  • Provides rapid response to regional issues with manager and support for national crisis team
  • Manages regional media and political databases for engagement, press releases, statements, Q&As etc
  • Gathers regional news for regional and national news generation programmes (internal and external)
  • Acts as local media spokesperson and company representative
  • On-call national press officer duties

The role covers a large geographical area and whilst an office base in Sutton Coldfield is available, travel throughout the region will feature heavily as part of the role.
