A 3 days a week placement for a 3 month period is offered to join the Communications team to support all elements of the Trust's PR and communication initiatives in order to communicate through social media and online activity the value and importance of our work to the widest possible audience, including policy makers and potential new customers for our services. The placement will be based at the Trust's offices in Kentish Town, London NW5.

The Anne Frank Trust UK draws on the power of Anne Frank's life and diary to challenge prejudice and reduce hatred, encouraging people to embrace positive attitudes, responsibility and respect for others.

The intern will assist in the following ways:

  • promote the Trust's work through press and media, social media and online
  • assist with publicity and marketing of fundraising events and activities and educational activities
  • maintain an up to date and relevant press contacts list
  • research news stories of relevance to the Trust and respond accordingly
  • support team with well written national and local press releases and with distribution
  • increase our Twitter, Facebook and other social network output and number of followers
  • ensure our website is regularly updated

The intern will be expected to have:

  • a strong understanding of marketing and communications and web and social media technology
  • web input skills
  • excellent written and spoken English
  • a pleasant and confident telephone manner and face to face manner
  • self-motivated and good organisational skills
  • support the charity's mission and aims
