Breakthrough is a communications agency and production company. We specialise in conflict resolution, society building and countering violent extremism.

Our aim is to help clients inspire positive social change. We work for NGOs, government agencies and inter-governmental organisations and employ about 40 staff at our offices in London, Nairobi and Mogadishu.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Community Manager to join our digital team and develop the expanding amount of strategic digital campaigns we deliver. The full-time role is initially for four months but there is the option to extend if mutually agreeable.

The Community Manager will report to the Digital Manager as well as liaising with clients to help devise content-led digital campaigns for a range of projects. They will also manage the campaigns on a day-to-day level and, constantly working to optimise them in order to hit KPIs.

The role will suit a creative individual who has demonstrable experience in creating content for a range of social media campaigns and is analytical with a creative approach to digital marketing. SEO and PPC experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Devising, researching and uploading content across a variety of social media platforms, and responding to user queries.
  • Developing and implementing innovative SEO and PPC strategies and campaigns to ensure content is directed at target audiences.
  • Liaising with clients over how best to implement the campaign strategy.
  • Monitoring, measuring and reviewing social media activity, identifying successful activity to maximise engagement.
  • Preparing weekly reports to measure progress of activities against plans.
  • Researching the latest technologies and tools, ensuring the business is up date with the most effective technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in creating content for a range of social media platforms
  • Strong creative writing skills
  • Proficient understanding of digital marketing techniques and tools, including PPC and SEO
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Analytical with a creative approach to digital marketing
