The Co-operative Party is looking for an experienced Media Officer to join our hard-working, fun and creative team. Co-operative values are shaping many of the political and policy debates of the day. You will be central to ensuring that the Co-operative Party’s views and expertise are reflected in these debates and will use your skills and experience to raise awareness of the Party and its vision for Britain.

You will have 5 years' press office experience, working in a high profile environment; be confident and unflappable; and have excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write compelling and well-argued articles and blogs.

Initially the role is being offered on a short term basis but with the possibility of extension subject to resources. The role will bring new capacity to the External and Political Affairs team. The role is part-time and can be undertaken on a flexible basis with exact working hours/days to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Temporary to early 2015 (with possibility of extension depending on funding).

20-25 hour per week/flexible hours – exact days and times can be negotiated.
